Lets face it...children are curious. They want to touch, grab, smell and eat everything. When they see something new they immediately want to explore it and play with it. Outlets are eye level to them and the little tiny holes look like a really cool place to stick stuff like their little precious fingers.

Go ahead and put the outlet plugs in as soon as your baby comes home from the hospital. Your baby will not crawl for a few months but one day you will turn your head and they will be off and running so it is better to be safe rather than sorry.

Also, make sure all out lets are covered because if your children are drooling due to teething and they get the drool on their little fingers and decide to stick those fingers into the outlet they could get an electrical shock.
