Once you get home, get settled and rested all you want to do is get out and about and show your baby to the world. You can't wait to hear all of the "oh he is adorable", "what a beautiful, sweet baby", and other "oohs and awws" but there are things you need to do as a new parent to ensure your baby is safe.
Put sunscreen on your children whenever they will be out in the sun. Check to make sure that you have one that is suitable for your baby's young skin because you do not want to cause an allergic reaction. Always put a hat on your baby and make sure that your stroller and car seat have a canopy to shade your baby.
Always have a first kit in your diaper bag or your car just in case something happens, not matter how large or small.
Make sure that your car seat and stroller meet all safety standards and that your child is properly strapped in at all times.
If you are traveling consider bringing your own pack-n-play. You can always rent one but you can never be sure if they are up to date on recalls etc.
Here are a few favorite ideas for outside:
Sprinklers: Another thing that will make kids scream with delight is running through a sprinkler or just plain playing with the backyard hose. Most of the time parents do not mind it either because there is very little risk of drowning and their yard gets watered at the same time. Great sprinkler fun for kids... Bubbles: Little ones are
usually in complete shock and awe when it comes to playing with
bubbles. You can buy bubbles at the store and even a bubble blower
that shots out oodles of bubbles at once (Gazillion

. You can also mix tap water and dish soap to make your own bubble
concoction. Small children will run around chasing, popping and
trying to catch bubbles in the yard for hours on end. Here is an

Sandboxes: Children love to play in sand because it feels so different to their little hands. They love to build and sometimes demolish castles in the sand. It is always more convenient to have a sandbox to enclose the sand but most will have a great time playing outside with just a random pile of sand, or dirt, in the yard. Most children love to play
outside in the grass, sand boxes and more but one of the most
exciting items you can have in a backyard is a swing set. It can be
a babysitter for parents but the most important thing to consider
when buying a swing set for your kids is its safety. You
need to make sure that the swing set will be able to withstand
excited toddlers and all weather conditions.
Here are a couple of items you have to consider
before you can decide on which swing set to buy for your children.
The material of which the swing set is made. The most common
material would be wood. Mainly because wood is easier to manage and
can withstand the harsh weather since it is being placed outdoors.
Plastic swing sets are easy to wash off since occasionally a bird
will leave you and your children a little present. Plastic
playhouses and swing sets normally do not have sharp corners of
edges so that helps protect your child from injury and helps keep
their clothing in tact for sharp edges, bolts and screws can tear a
child’s apparel. You must also make sure that the swing set is
sturdy because chances are you will have more than one child
playing, climbing or swinging on the set at once.
The colors of the swing set. Children respond
well to bright colors. Some parents think that a bright colored
swing set is unattractive in their backyard but once they realize
how much joy it brings their child they tend to get over it.
