Carriers:
Keeping your baby buddy close to your heart
When you become a parent you
suddenly wish you had about ten hands. You need a hand for holding the
baby, the diaper bag,
snacks, baby bottles,
your purse, etc. A baby
carrier is the
answer to all your prayers. The carrier will allow you to keep your
baby close to you while they rest or view their new
world...the best part is that they allow you the full use of both of
your hands!
There
are
four
basic types of carriers:
Sling
Carrier-They
are comfortable for babies because they feel swaddled and totally safe
close to you. The sling carrier also allows you to nurse if necessary.
Front
Carrier-
The front carrier is used to have your baby facing forward while an
infant. Once your baby has full neck control your baby can face forward
and view the world.
Frame
Carrier-
Fathers love these especially if they enjoy being outside.
The carrier is worn like a backpack and the frame evenly distributes
your babies weight so you have less strain and back aches.
Multiple
Position
Carrier- These carriers can be used like a front
carrier or you can use it like a backpack.
Make
sure
you
always check the size and age requirements of the carrier to ensure
safety.
